Quarterly Van Door Service Card Checklist & Torque Marks
Reliability is ritual — not luck.
1) Torque Marks
- Paint-mark screw heads with contrasting color; if lines misalign, re-torque.
- Re-apply blue threadlocker after every second inspection.
2) Seal & Gasket Review
- Inspect compression set; replace if flat or torn.
- Clean with isopropyl, wipe silicone conditioner lightly.
3) Electrical Check
- Verify connector pins clean; dielectric grease as needed.
- Cycle lock 10×, listen for hesitation or tone shift.
4) Water Ingress Test
- Spray light mist around escutcheon; open after 1 hour for moisture signs.
5) Service Card
- Index card inside door panel lists: date, torque check, battery voltage, gasket condition.
- Write next due date (90 days) — tape it behind a cover plate.
If you treat the door like aircraft maintenance, it will never strand you.
