2) Offset & Adapter Plates

• Use manufacturer's narrow-stile plates or CNC a slim adapter in aluminum/HDPE.
• Shift the footprint inward a few millimeters without moving the bore center.

3) Slim Latch & Through-Bolt Tactics

• Choose a slimline latch where available; avoid bulky handlesets.
• Use through-bolts that clear the glass pocket; verify internal path before drilling.

4) Glass-Lite Door Specifics

• Probe for internal muntins with a thin bit; mark no-drill zones.
• Use a backing plate inside to prevent flex and rattle near the glass.

5) Final Alignment Ritual

• Actuate 10× after leveling the house; adjust strike depth if you hear scrape.
• Paint-mark screw heads—easy visual for future movement.
